Shown on the 1911 Census was a 28 year old City of London Police Constable, living at Cloak Lane in London.

 

Shown on the 1939 Census as living at 41 Elderfield Road, Lower Clapton, Hackney, working as a Watchman (Police Constable Retired).

 

Charles Edward Dyer, born in Southwark, London, first attested for service with the 1st life Guards aged 18 on 10th September 1900.

 

He was transferred to the 1st Class Army Reserve on 30th November 1908.
