Al Valore Militare Colonial bronze, officially named to Omar Saad Alla Memoria Canta Mariam 30 Gen. 2nd Feb 1938 XVI.

Awarded this medal posthumously for service with the Royal Carabinieria Legion of Asmara, 2nd Company at Canta Mariam on 2nd February 1938

“During a furious counterattack against major enemy forces who were about to encircle him, after having exhausted the ammunition and inflicted heavy losses to the adversaries, he fell struck to death while defending himself with his own submachine gun and hand grenades. An example of high military virtue.”

He had also been awarded the Croce di Guerra al Valor Militare for the action at Boolie on 29th Luglio 1936 XIV

He was a commandant of a machine gun battalion with the VII Battalion Eritrea, 2nd Company.
