Al Valore Militare Guerre Speditzione D’Oriente silver Crimea 1855-1856, to Mengin Le Cruelx, A.N. Capitaine du Genie. “Major-General Mengin-Le- creulx, doyen of the generals of division, grand-officer of the Legion of Honor, succumbed in the evening, in his apartment on the Rue de Yaugirard.
After a very successful career, he retired in 1878.
General Mengin-Lecreulx, who had been a widower for ten years, was the father-in-law of General Jamont; he had two sons: Gen. Colonel Mengin-Lqcreulx, who died five years ago, and Paul Mengin-Lecreulx, chief engineer of the Ponts et Chaussées.
