Alfred Jones was Colour Sergeant of 1st Bn Manchester Regiment in the Afghanistan War of 1878-80 and Quartermaster Sergeant in the Egypt and Sudan War 1882-86.
He is also entitled to the Afghanistan Medal, Egypt Medal and Khedive’s Star
