Included is the original packet of issue for the clasp, and wrapping paper in which the clasps were originally packaged in.
Due to the way the WW2 stars and clasps were instituted, few were eligible for the Air Crew Europe clasp, the regulations state that the first Star to be earned would gain precedence, so if an Air Crew Man first became eligible for the Atlantic Star, prior to earning the ACE star they would get this unusual combination.
Most of the small number of recipients of this combination likely were members of the Fleet Air Arm who were stationed at Sea, allowing them to earn the Atlantic Star, before taking part in active operations of Europe.
