British War Medal, 1300 Private Patrick Rogers, D.C.M., 14th Hussars, long served of the 14th Hussars since 1896.

 

Entered into the War: 14th November 1915, Asia Theatre.

 

Awarded the D.C.M. fighting in Mesopootamia, LG 25th November 1916.

 

“For conspicuous gallantry and devotion. He assisted, under very heavy fire, to remove his troop officer, who was very severely wounded, displaying great courage and devotion to duty. He was himself severely wounded in 2 places.”

 

Attested for service on 29th December 1896.

 

Discharged on 13th March 1917, due to his wounds and awarded a Silver War Badge B214084.
