Robert Dorman Todd was born in Tynemouth, Northumberland during 1906.
The Son of George and Clara Todd, his father was a Ships Plumber as of 1911.
Beginning of his service as noted in the Supp to the London Gazette, 6th July 1943:
“The under-mentioned are granted commissions in the rank of 2nd Lieut for service with the Army Cadet Force:-
Northumberland Commission, 25th nov 1942:- Robert Dorman Todd (275544)”
Award of the Medal, Supp to the London Gazette 9th May 1952:
“The Queen has been graciously pleased to confer the award of the Cadet Forces Medal upon the following serving officers of the Cadet Forces.
Army Cadet Force, Northumberland, A/Capt R.D. Todd (275544).”
Looks to have been on the last few GVI issues before the switch-over to the EIIR type, King George VI died in Feb 1952.
He married Florence Harrison during October 1937 in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Robert died in Durham North Western during 1957.
