Description
Second China War Medal, 1857, 3 bars, Canton 1857, Taku Forts 1858, Taku Forts 1860, unnamed as issued to Royal Navy and Royal Marines.
Good original example with 3 bars, a correct combination seen to the Royal Navy and Royal Marines active during the 2nd Anglo-China “Opium” War who spent the 3-4 years on active duty on their ship and took part in the operations throughout the war.
An original unnamed example, good matching clasps and riveting, there has been some sort of light attempted inscription to the rim but it is hard to decipher, appears to have been done by the recipient.
