Description
Colonial Auxiliary Forces Officer’s Decoration, Queen Victoria Issue, VRI cypher, hallmarked “f” for 1901, officially impressed to Quartermaster and Honorary Major R. G. Foster, 5th Regiment.
An extremely rare, officially named example with the Victoria Cypher, as the award as instituted during 1899, there were very few VRI issued awarded before the death of Queen Victoria and the adoption of the Edward VII version.
