C.P.M. edge prepared prior to naming as commonly seen, officially impressed: “Asst. Supt. Patrick McCann. Kenya Police.”
A.G.S. officially impressed, one small edge knock: “S. P. Mc. Mcann.”

 

Promoted from Acting Inspector of Police to Acting Chief Inspector of Police, 1st January 1948.

 

Serving as Chief Inspector of Police, promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Police 1st January 1951.

 

Awarded the Meritorious Service Medal in London Gazette of 1st January 1954, as Assistant Superintendent of the Kenya Police Force, an interesting award midway through the ‘Mau Mau’ war.

 

Promoted to Superintendent of Police from 1st January 1955.
