New Zealand is one of the few countries that still issues the mostly defunct Efficiency Medal, which has since been replaced at home by medals such as the Volunteer Reserves Service Medal, most Commonwealth countries and former Colonies having replaced them with their own versions also, such as Canada, Australia etc.
