Iwan Rhys Jenkins was born during 1928, he was a National Serviceman who became Lieut on 21st February 1955 having earned his M.R.C.S. & L.R.C.P. during 1953, He became a Captain on 19th March 1957 with seniority, joining the Army Reserve of Officers during 1961.
On 2nd February 1966 he was awarded the Diploma of Fellow in the Faculty of Anaesthetists of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He was also a member of the Society of the Anaesthetists of Wales
He died on 6th February 2016 in Llangunnor, Carmarthen.
