One small bruise to Brunei otherwise very good condition pair.

An interesting and rare pair as he earned the Brunei clasp being the very last clasp to the original General Service Medal, followed by the first clasp issued to the new version the General (Campaign) Service Medal 1962.

The Brunei clasp was also an unusual honour to the Queen’s Own Highlanders as a British Army Infantry Regiment, being the first to arrive who formed part of the Far East Spearhead Battalion following the start of the Brunei Revolt luckily serving nearby in Singapore at the time.

Seeing action in the capture of the Shell Oil Field in Seria where they beat the Rebel Forces under Azahri and freed about 46 European Hostages, this would be the first active service since the regiment had been formed and was a great success.

Following the end of the revolt they moved over to Borneo fighting in the jungles.
