Description
General Service Medal, GV, 7641 Sepoy Sahib Dad, 1-113th Infantry, became the 6th Bn 4th Bombay Grenadiers in 1922.
Officially impressed: “7641 Sepoy Sahib Dad 1-113-Infantry”
Medal and Iraq Clasp confirmed on medal index card.
Before earning the medal the 113th Infantry was similarly serving in Iraq aka Mesopotamia. Where they took part in the action Fat-ha Gorge on the Little Zab and the Battle of Sharqat in 1918.
After the medal was earned the regiment was re-organised becoming the 6th Battalion 4th Bombay Grenadiers.
