Geoffrey Thomas Sillito was born during July 1942 in Leek, Staffordshire, in the middle of WW2.
Geoffrey would have joined the Royal Air Force some time around the early 1960s, at this time the Royal Air Force were deployed to the “Malay Peninsula” between August 1964 and August 1966, during the Indoensia-Malaysia Confontration aka Konfrontasi.
He continued his service for many years, to receive the RAF LSGC and Long Service clasp, the medal itself required about 15 years of unblemished service, and another 15 years to earn a bar to the medal.
He married Barbara Gannicott during April 1964 in Swindon, Wiltshire.
He died many years later in Swindon, on 8th March 2019.
