General Service Medal, GVI, bar Malaya, 1953 Coronation Medal, L.A.C. Geoffrey Douglas Boniface, Royal Air Force, an RAF Bandsman. 

 

Officially engraved: “3116616 L.A.C. G.D. Boniface. R.A.F.”

 

Swing mounted as worn on original ribbons.

 

1953 Coronation confirmed on the medal roll, which shows him present with the “No 5 Regional Band” RAF.

 

Geoffrey Douglas Boniface was born in Chertsey Surrey during April 1930.

 

Local wartime newspapers in Surrey recall a young Musician named “Geoffrey Boniface” described as “The Boy Wonder on the Xylophone and Accordion”. He is mentioned a few times working various events.
