John Denis Waters was born on 10th October 1915 in Whitby, Yorkshire. The son of John and Hannah Waters. His father had served through WW1 with the Royal Garrison Artillery.
He was commissioned as a Flying officer on 7th May 1953, Flight Lieutenant, 7th May 1955. Finally being promoted to Squadron Leader on 1st January 1965. He retired on 10th April 1968.
He was a member of Tech Branch and was a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society (MRaeS).
He died during 1994, in Scarborough Yorkshire.
