Description
Highland Society Medal for Egypt 1801, unmounted as issued in original case, bronze, with usual engraved Gaelic inscription.
An attractive example with some patchy toning.
Engraved on the edge with the typically seen Gaelic inscription:
“O’n Choumun Chaeleach D’ON Fhreiceadan Dubhna XLII Rt.” Which translates to: “From The London Highland Society to the Black Watch or 42nd Regt.”
