A rare and interesting long service group with an inter-war India General Service Medal to the R.A.F.

 

I.G.S. officially impressed: “561468 L.A.C. F.G.H. Boghurst. R.A.F.”
LSGC officially engraved: “Act W/O F.G.H. Boghurst (561468) R.A.F.”

 

Frederick George Harry Boghurst was born on 3rd February 1912 in East Stonehouse, Devon. He died in Newquay, Cornwall on 29th January 1969.

 

Cornish Guardian 6th February 1969:

 

“DEATHS
Boghurst- On January 29th, 1969, peacefully, at Treliske, Fred Boghurst of 12A Grosvenor Avenue, Newquay, the beloved son of Fred and Marie. loving brother of May and George and dear uncle of Angela. Cremated at Penmount on February 3rd. No letters please.”
