Driver Lakhu was part of the 33rd Pack Battery, this battery was raised during WW1 at Abbotabad during 1917 as the 33rd Reserve Mountain Battery, becoming the 33rd Pack Battery during 1920, and then changing to the 33rd Dardoni Pack Battery, having been given an honorary title “Dardoni” like many Indian units. A year later in 1921 it became the 133rd (Dardoni) Pack Battery.
