Knight Bachelor, 2nd Type, Breast Badge, circa 1933-1973.
The Knight Bachelor Insignia was first instituted during 1926, at which time it was a Large Breast Badge, in 1933 it was redesigned and decreased in size to this style. In 1973 the Breast Badge was later replaced with a Neck Badge to be worn on a ribbon.
In a fitted Royal Mint case of issue.
The reverse is officially hallmarked with London Silver markings and the date letter “m” dating production of this badge to 1967.
