Clasp broken on case. Usual modern quality striking.
Liverpool Echo 30th August 1969:

 

“RESCUE MEDALS AWARDED TO 3 NORTH WEST MEN, The Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society’s Bronze Marine Medal and Certificate for bravery has been awarded to four men, including a Wallasey ferry boat engineer, an Aintree crane driver and a Chester Clerk.

 

….Also to receive a bronze medal and certificate is Crane Driver Mr Andrew Jones from Drake Road, Aintree, who rescued a man from Canada Dock on June 7th.”

“A certificate of the Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society, has been presented to Mr Andrew Jones of 26 Drake Road, Liverpool 10, who rescued a drowning man from Canada Dock.”
