Military Cross, GV, in case of issue, 1914-15 Star, British War and Victory Medal with MiD oak leaf, Lieut A.F.M. Capel-Cure, R.F.A.

 

With two large portrait photographs, one in a frame.

 

Trio is swing mounted for wear, M.C. still in box of issue.

 

Alfred Frederick Morice Capel-Cure, born during 1896.

 

Entered the war in France during June 1915 as a 2nd Lieutenant.

 

Mentioned in Despatches for his service with 401st Battery R.F.A., London Gazette 23rd December 1918.

 

Military Cross announced in the London Gazette 3rd June 1919, for service with 401st Battery.

 

Returned to his commission as a Captain in the Royal Field Artillery during 1939.
Discharge in WW2
London Gazette 29th January 1943: Memorandun, Capt A.F.M. Capel-Cure MC (96921) retired pay (Late R.A.) and is granted the honorary rank of Major on ceasing to be employed, 29th January 1943.

 

He died aged 63 during 1959 in Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset.
