Military Medal announced in the London Gazette 27th June 1918, which records him as from Rushulme, Manchester
First entered into France on 16th August 1914.
Transferred from No 3 General Hospital at Le Treport to Hospital Ship Brighton at Dieppe to be invalided back to England on 13th May 1915, having received a gunshot wound to the right of his chest.
