Military Medal, GV, 1914-15 Star, British War and Victory Medal, 19634 Company Sergeant Major Ivyston Stanford Stock, 13th Battalion Liverpool Regiment.

 

Military Medal impressed: “19634 C. S. Mjr. I. S. Stock. 13/L’Pool R.”
1914-15 Star impressed as Sergeant, Pair impressed as Warrant Officer Class 2.

 

Ivyston Stanford Stock was born on 18th May 1890 in Rochford, Essex.

 

Before going out to war he married Eliza Burrell during October 1914 in Rochford.

 

He entered the war in France first on 26th September 1915.

 

Awarded the Military Medal in the London Gazette 11th February 1919, which covers gallantry during the Battle of Amiens between 8th August to 3rd September 1918.

 

Following the battle of Amiens, CSM Stock was admitted to the 34th Casualty Clearing Station, suffering from wounds due to Mustard Gas.

 

By the end of the war he was Warrant Officer Class 2.

 

He later died on Rayleigh, Essex, on 22nd March 1970, aged about 79.
