Newfoundland Volunteer Service Medal, officially numbered “2884” an extremely rare WW2 service medal instituted in 1981 and awarded 7,500 times who served with British Force from Newfoundland and Labrador.

 

As issued with sewn on wearing pin, with a matching miniature medal, in original fitted Royal Mint case of issue.

 

This medal was established on 6th November 1981 and only issued 7,500 times, given to those who did not receive a volunteer war service medal from another country, including Canada, and had volunteered and served in units and organisations who contributed to the war effort from the Dominion of Newfoundland.

 

Very rarely appear for sale and the most sought after of WW2 campaign medals.
