Queen’s South Africa, no bar, 4546 Pte George Wilson, 2nd Battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment. 

 

Officially impressed: “4546 Pte G. Wilson. Rl: Berks: Regt”

 

Confirmed on the medal roll, originally issued as a no bar medal on 12th July 1902.

 

A further medal roll written at Alexandria, Egypt after the war on 21st May 1903 recorded the separate issue of a Cape Colony and South Africa 1902 clasp.

George Wilson was born in New Radford, Nottingham.

Enlisted at Reading aged 22, on 16th Dec 1895.
