Lovel David Hudgson was born in Cape Town, during 1877, the son of Frank and Sarah Hudgson (Humble).
He was a Signalman with the South African Railways, he died in Kroonstad aged 41 on 25th October 1918 being brought into the Temporary Railway Hospital, possibly a rail accident.
