Queen’s South Africa Medal, 3 bars, Transvaal, SA 1901, SA 1902, 5623 Pte M. Maghner, 1st Battalion Royal Irish Regiment.
Before the Boer War, Pte Maghner earned the India General Service Medal, bar Punjab Frontier 1897-8 with the 2nd Battalion Royal Irish Regiment.
He then served in South Africa with 1st Battalion.
