Queen’s South Africa Medal, no bar, Natal, bar 1906, British War and Bilingual Victory Medal, Pte C.J. Norbye, Stellenbosch D.M.T., Royston’s Horse and D.S.C.
Carl Johannes Norbye was born during 1886, when he fought as one of only 84 men of the Stellenbosch District Mounted Troop to receive the Q.S.A. Medal he was only 14-16 years old throughout the war.
Aged 20 when he fought in the Natal Campaign with Royston’s Horse during 1906.
Returned for WW1 with the Divisional Signal Company, South African Infantry, with WW1 copy service papers.
