Queen’s South Africa, 2 bars, Cape Colony, Johannesburg, King’s South Africa Medal, 2 bars, SA 1901, SA 1902, 1498 Quartermaster Sergeant John Thomas Richard Price, Nesbitt’s Horse.

 

Queen’s South Africa off impressed: “1498 Q.M. Sgt J.T.R. Price. Nesbitt’s Horse”, the “1498” & “Q.M. SGT” have been neatly and officially re-impressed, done in Cape Town, noted as such in the official Searle & Armstrong List of 18th December 1905.
According to the medal roll it was likely impressed as Trooper & not reflecting of his senior NCO rank, which he rose up to from a Trooper.

 

King’s South Africa Medal off impressed: “Q.M. Serjt. J.T.R. Price Nesbitt’s Horse”.
