Officially engraved: “Albert Hawke” to reverse.
The reverse reads: “PRESENTED BY THE BOARD OF TRADE to ALBERT HAWKE for long service with the Rocket Life Saving Apparatus.
The first type of the medal 1911-1935, instituted in 1911 by the Board of Trade for 20 years full or part time with the “Rocket Apparatus”, later known as the Coast Guard Long Service Medal.
