Special Reserve Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, GV, 7946 Private William Helbert, 3rd Battalion Liverpool Regiment. a WW1 Veteran of the King’s Liverpool Regiment.

 

Officially impressed: “7946 Pte W. Helbert. 3/L’pool Regt”

 

William Helbert had previously served in WW1, as 7946 Private of the 1st Batttalion King’s Liverpool Regiment.

 

He also served at 549486 with the Labour Corps and again with the King’s Liverpools as 101801.

 

He earned his 1914-15 on attachment from the 1st Bn Liverpools to the Labour Corps, entering into the war on 27th September 1915 in Theatre 3.

 

he was discharged after the war ended on 11th March 1919, Class Z.

 

Rather interesting that the Theatre of War 3, is specified as Russia, in need of further research.
