Territorial Decoration, T.D. EIIR, dated 1953 to reverse, in fittted Royal Mint case of issue.
Stored inside of the box is an old photo of a “John Rowland Speed.”
Seems to line up with the facts, having been commissioned back in October 1941 as 2nd Lieut in the Royal Regiment of Artillery, Major John Rowland Speed (172492) was awarded the Territorial Efficient Decoration by Queen Elizabeth II, London Gazette, 8th September 1953.
John Rowland Speed, born in 1917, died on 9th November 1971 at Glen Clora, Sitwell, Rotherham.
