Tibet Medal, 1904, Bronze, 86 Cooly Rasula Khan, Supply and Transport Corps. A non combatant of Younghusband’s Tibet Expedition.
Officially engraved in fine running script: “86 Cooly Rasula Khan S & T Corps”
A likely Muslim “Cooly” (Labourer) of the Supply & Transport Corps.
The Supply and Transport Corps was made up of many different men, a large number employed from India, comprising of Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims, as well as locally recruited Tibetan “Gurkhas”.
