British War and Victory Medal Pair, 1102 Havildar Major Fazal Khan, Royal Artillery, served with the 12th Divisional Ammunition Column, Royal Field Artillery.

 

Officially impressed: “1102 Havr-Maj Fazal Khan. R. A.”

 

Scarce Indian mint issued pair to a senior Non Commissioned Officer. Havildar Major is the equivalent of a Sergeant Major.

 

We have traced some medical records for him.

 

1102 Havildar Major Fazal Khan, was serving at the time with the 12 Divisional Ammunition Column of the Royal Field Artillery when he was admitted into the No 3 Casualty Clearing Station on 27th June 1918, suffering from Influenza.
He was afterwards discharged to the Lucknow Casualty Clearing Station.
