During the 1911 Coronation he was a 28 year old Police Constable with the City of London Police Force, stationed at the City of London Police Station at 60 Minories EC, City of London.

However he was the son of a Tom Dobbs, and was named Willie Tom Dobbs, according to the 1891 census.
