Joseph Francis Thoma, was born in Lambeth London circa 1879.
He lived around London for most of his life, growing up in Newington circa 1891.
By 1911, the time of the Coronation, he was a 30 year old Railway Porter, living with his wife Rose and 2 daughters in Camberwell.
Since January 1914 he had been a member of the National Union of Railwaymen in Bermondsey, shortly after the founding of the Union.
He died in London during 1932.
