Alan Thomas Kane was born on 6th September 1948 in Carlton, New South Wales, Australia.
He served during the period of the Vietnam War in the Royal Australian Army Service Corps.
He earned this medal for his service during 1970, when he was posted to Vietnam between 2nd April 1970 and 17th December 1970.
He served with the “Detachment, 5th Australian Services Canteen Organisation”.
After the war he lived in Coolangatta, McPherson, Queensland during the 70s and 80s.
