C.B.E Commander of the Order of the British Empire, 2nd Type, named to Major General William Lionel Douglas Veitch, Royal Engineers, Engineer in Chief of the Pakistan Army.
Hand Engraved on the reverse centre: “Maj-Gen. WLD Vietch”
In DNW on 1st Mach 2017, the CBE MBE Group of Major General W.L.D Veitch was sold, notably all of his unnamed medals were personalised with very similar engraving, it is unclear whether the CBE was named but this appears to be his original CBE.
The group was missing his CB Bath Neckbadge and had been display mounted with an unnamed CBE.
