Norman Bayley, first enlisted into the Royal Artillery during World War 2 circa April 1941.
He then transferred over to the Corps of Military Police on 6th June 1941.
Having served through World War 2, The Malayan Emergency circa 1948 and the Cyprus Emergency of 1955-1959, he would have his “Long Service & Good Conduct” rewarded with the issue of the medal in August 1959.
Awarded the Army Long Service & Good Conduct Medal, bar Regular Army, in Army Order 27/60 with Date of Qualification, 20th August 1959, whilst serving as a Sergeant in the Army Ordnance Corps.
