Description

General Service Medal 1962, bar Radfan, 23835225 Pte R.J. Parry, Royal Anglian Regiment, confirmed, with box of issue and accompanying letter.

Officially impressed: “23835225 Pte R.J. Parry. 1 E. Anglian”

With the original box of issue for the medal and Army Medal office issue letter that confirms the Radfan clasp. Scarce to be able to confirm the proper entitlement.

“In February 1964 the Regiment arrived in Aden as part of the Aden Brigade, seeing active service in the Radfan on the border with South Yemen as part of Radforce, fighting Egyptian-supported guerillas, losing a number of its soldiers in the process.”
