Very crisp and barely worn condition.

 

Rare to this unit, not many have appeared for sale, we have only sold 1 in the past.

 

Provenance, sold DNW, 23rd September 2005.

 

During the “Aden Emergency” of 1963-1967, the 16/5th Lancers were deployed where they took part in “Operation Nutcracker” during January 1965 in their Centurion Tanks whilst supporting the FRA in Radfan.

Service number lines up with the medal and indicates Enlistment between October 1960 and April 1964 in this block, so likely to have signed on about 1961.
