Khedive’s Sudan Medal, 2nd Type, 1917 onwards, unnamed as issued. Hussein Kamel Cypher.
The Khedive’s Sudan Medal, replaced the earlier version of the same title in 1910.
Being established in 1911, it was awarded for service in the Sudan to members of the Egyptian Army, as well as Sudanese Army.
There was a Silver Medal for Combatants and a matching Bronze for non-combatants.
This is the 2nd Type, the Arabic Cypher bearing the name of Hussein Kamel awarded for service circa 1917-1921.
