Hallmarked on the back with the letter mark “c”, produced by “AHD”
Anchor Birmingham City Mark, Victoria Head and “c” Hallmark for 1902. Also maker marked AHD for Alfred Horatio Darby who produced the stars during the war.
The reverse reads “Mayor’s Siege Medal 1900”, this privately made medal was produced during the 1900-1902 to be sent out to the Defenders of the Town of Kimberley who had taken part in the Siege of Kimberley from 14th October 1899 – 15th February 1900.
