Evangelos Halikopulos was a Greek interpreter during the war as part of the Slavo-British Legion in Salonika attached to the British Army, he also earned the British War Medal & Victory Pair.
There were only 679 ‘Honorary’ awards of the M.S.M. to Foreign Recipients during the War, with only six being awarded to Greek Personnel, an identically styled engraved medal is known along with the recipients WW1 Pair and Greek Medal of Military Merit to G.A. Agallides, who was also an interpreter during the war.
