Frank Warry was born during 1889 in Natal, the son of Gaius Edward Warry and Maria Dingley, they lived in Stanger, Lower Tugela, Natal, South Africa.
His father Gaius was a local Blacksmith, born in Chad, Somerset during 1856, he immigrated to South Africa and met his wife Maria in Stanger, making Lower Tugela his new home.
Frank was only about 17 during the 1906 Rebellion with the Lower Tugela Section of the Militia Reserves.
During 1912 he married Mary Louisa Mack at St James Church, Harding, Natal.
