Medal is officially impressed: “37524 Pte W. Hutcheon. Scottish Horse.” Note mispelling of surname, the medal roll has many corrected spelling mistakes, including the ‘e’ being crossed out to actually read “Hutchison”.
The medal roll also reads that his 1902 clasp was issued to him at 20 Droyden Street, Pilrig, Edinburgh and that he was discharged at Aldershot on 3rd September 1902.
