Description
St Jean D’Acre Medal, for the Bombardment of Acre, Syria, during 1840, a rare original issue in silver as awarded to Royal Navy Officers.
A rarely seen solid silver issue, a well struck example, fitted with an attractive period claw and swivelling suspension, matching that of a Naval General Service Medal, bar Syria, which it would have been likely worn along side during the period.
With a very old and slightly faded length of silk ribbon sewn on.
