Turkish Crimea, private issue by Hunt and Roskell of the highest quality, marked J.B., suspended by 2 prong silver brooch bar marked by Hunt and Roskell.
This unusual and most attractive example of the Turkish Crimea Medal, with the dye being drawn by the unknown artist “J. B.” adds much interesting detail to the usually poorer quality and less detailed Sardinian issue of the period.
It was believed to have been retailed by Hunt and Roskell who assembled the official Crimean War Medals, as a premium product usually seen in group to Officers.
The ribbon is suspended by a silver 2 prong Brooch bar, a well made example with a gold pin, bearing the marks of Hunt and Roskell.
